If you are remoting into a macOS machine from a computer with a
U.S. keyboard layout, and the macOS machine has a physical ISO
keyboard (not ANSI), you'll notice that keys like tilde don't
map correctly (~`
). This is very annoying if you're
trying to type paths in the Terminal. It's also difficult to
fix, since none of the built-in ISO keyboard layouts will map
correctly for the real ANSI keyboard you are using.
This custom keyboard layout fixes these issues by just putting the keys where you expect them to be.
